Homologated for two passengers, McLaren Artura is the new plug-in hybrid supercar from the Woking-based company. Carbon monocoque and safety cell for the battery pack in just 82 kg, electronic differential, integrated into the eight-speed transmission, carbon ceramic discs with forged aluminum calipers and new rear suspension complete the mechanics.
The propulsion is completely new. The internal combustion engine is a 2,993 cc twin-turbo V-six with 585 hp and 585 Nm of torque, while the axial flow electric unit generates 95 hp and 225 Nm. The two combined systems transmit a power of 680 hp to the rear wheels. and 720 Nm of torque that allow the McLaren Artura to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3 seconds and reach a (self-limited) top speed of 330 km / h.
Four powertrain management modes can be selected to decide whether to travel about 30 km in electric only (mode E), or to use one of the classic modes such as Comfort, Sport or Track. The infotainment system is also new, with numerous Adas including Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, traffic sign recognition, lane change warning and high beam assistance. Four versions provided (Standard, Performance, TechLux and Vision) with an attack price of 231,200 euros.
