MIMO conference 'Research and innovation, the future of mobility' concluded today with forward-looking ideas

Organised in collaboration with the Lombardy Region at the Testori Auditorium in Milan, the conference 'Research and Innovation, the Future of Mobility' patronised by the Ministry of Economic Development was divided into four talks featuring mobility CEOs, association presidents and designers. The actors involved discussed the next challenges that the automotive sector, and mobility in general, will have to face in the next five years.

After Minister Giorgetti's institutional greeting, the floor was passed to Andrea Levy, President of MIMO, Geronimo La Russa, President of ACI Milano, Michele Crisci, President of UNRAE, Paolo Scudieri, President of ANFIA, Adolfo De Stefani Cosentino, President of FEDERAUTO, who, moderated by Gianluca Pellegrini (Quattroruote), spoke about the need to strengthen the Italian automotive lobby in view of the challenges of the coming years, such as sustainability and the replacement of the car fleet.

The second meeting, on the other hand, was devoted to the importance of integrated mobility and the objective of making it a homogeneous reality throughout the country in the coming years. Moderated by Andrea Brambilla (AUTO), the discussion was attended by Federico Caleno, Head of Country Italy Enel X Way, Giacomo Carelli, CEO FCA Bank and President of Leasys, Luigi Corradi, CEO Trenitalia, Giacomo Lovati, Chief Beyond Insurance Officer UnipolSai Assicurazioni, and Matteo Mammì, CEO Helbiz EMEA.

The future of the car is also about its shape, and it was precisely design that the moderator Alberto Sabbatini (Formula 1 journalist), Fabrizio Sala, Lombardy Region Councillor for Education, University, Research and Innovation, Horacio Pagani, Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari Chief Design Officer, and Fausto Brevi, Scientific Director of the Transportation&Automobile Design Master's Degree at the Politecnico di Milano, spoke about.

The last meeting consisted of an in-depth discussion on NFT and Metaverse, with explanations on the possible uses of Blockchain in the automotive sector. The moderator of the talk was Gaetano Cesarano (Money and UIGA), who spoke with Paolo Turati, Lecturer and Director of LabDEC Saa-School of Management at the University of Turin, Fabrizio Amodio of Biomine, Francesco Vincenti, Business Developer of the Metaverse of Somnium Space, Zhou Wubo, Co- founder of Huancheng digital technology and CEO of MICIA, and Umberto Palermo of UP Design with a presentation on the Metaverse and NFT of Mole Artigianale e Urbana. The conference was closed by Giuseppe Bergamaschi, Founder Onevo Group, with the awarding of the winning artist of the NFT Art Challenge "MIMO Event - Car and City, Today and Tomorrow".
